The left arm is also the string of the Master Accumulator - number 4. That’s the rhythm of the swing that needs Extensor Action. And what good is Extensor Action if there is nothing of worth to apply it to? Don’t down play the left arm. Its been called a string or a noodle but it is the radius of the Lever system that can make or break the stroke. I don’t know much about the hip action since I don’t pivot that way.
